We want to explain the process involved with members joining the World Karting Association (WKA).

As you may or may not be aware, beginning next year, all schools, universities, and organizations that will compete in the Purdue evGrand Prix Series are required to be members of the WKA.
While individual master memberships are $55.00 per person per year, an agreement between Purdue and the WKA for a flat fee of $250.00 per entity and each entity will be allowed to issues 30 WKA memberships cards to students each year.

One of the benefits of this exclusive membership is that now, once an adult or minor release has been submitted properly notarized, we can use that for all the events you attend. No longer will the parents have to have the form notarized at each event. If you have had to chase this form from students, you will understand how nice this is. Another benefit will be that teams requiring hotel stays in Indy for the Worlds will be able to use a code at select hotels for a corporate discount.

To begin, the process is simple
Download the attached PDF.
Fill the form out completely.
Scan and email the form back to the WKA.
Once they process the application, you will be sent an invoice along with your membership cards.
Upon receipt of the invoice, issue your purchase order or send payment.

To issue the cards
Issue the student the proper release form, everyone under the age of 18 will have to be issued a minor release.
Instruct the students on where they, along with their parents or guardian, will sign.
All minor releases require a notary signature, as well.
Write the WKA membership number on the release.
Scan and email the release back to the WKA.

At an event
Have your students show their membership card at registration.
Sign the pit pass form.
Enjoy the day.
