Thank you for posting an image of the track.  Is there a scale or could you share with us some details such as length or turn radius?

Thank you,

We are in the process of the final draft, IMS has told Purdue that there will be more charging outlets along the north boarder of the track, that will effect our design slightly. Figure about a 45 second lap minimum. with the straight about 180'. Will get more detail soon.

Feeding your team
Remember to pack your lunches and snacks. The day is very busy, this will save you the time walking to and the expense of track food. My thought is to grab some lawn chairs, bring some deli meats, cheeses, bread, chips, cookies and drinks. Have a little picnic in your pits without all the hustle, bustle and expense of searching out track food.
Either way, it's going to be a fantastic day at the Race Capital of the World.

Tentative Race Day Schedules - Subject to scheduling and conditions. I would like to see all High School teams in tech first due to scheduled practice. AS YOU CAN SEE it will be a very busy day. Radio Station will be determined on Monday May 14th and be posted here.

Day one and Day two:

Each team can have the driver and four members access the hot track area. One of the team members will go to the kart recovery area with your kart stand, one team member can go to the timing area, one team member can go to the mechanic hold area with a small bac of tools and one may stay in the grid area. These five individuals will receive special colored bands. All others Pit Pass holders will be required to exit the grid area when the command to energize the kart is given.

High School / Organization teacher representative may also be in the kart recovery area.

Once we begin qualifying only the driver, mechanic and the representative will be allowed into tech.
Once we begin to race and when instructed to, again only the driver, mechanic and rep will be allowed in tech. Usually the top five are impounded.

If you are not impounded after the race, please gather your team, kart, kart stand, tools and exit the track area.

I will be adding more about race day all this week.

Last call for registrations

Sunday May 13th at Midnight MotorsportsReg will shut down online registrations. If you have not registered please get that done soon.
Get your forms all in order. Everyone under the age of 18 requires some of those forms to be notarized. (WKA, IMS) to name a few.

Some things I noticed at the last test and tune event:
Rule 3.3 Helmet - No googles are allowed, the eye protection must be part of the helmet.
Rule 3.4.3 - Neck braces - All drivers need to wear a neck brace.
Rule 3.5 Crew Clothing - Shorts and sandals are not allowed on your crew.
Rule 2.9.2 Chain Guard - You MUST have a chain guard on your kart.

Karts stopping on the race track, if your kart slows or stops running coast it off the race line or in the case of Purdue's track into the grass, get out of the kart  and move to s safe spot.

Obeying flags, if you are shown a flag you must obey it. Granted its somewhat hard to look up when you should be focusing on the track but it can be done. You must be looking out for issues and flags all the time.

No tools, the basic's like an air gage was very hard to find.
