As we are working to keep the competition level at the highest level possible, we will be using the 400 pound total Kart and Driver weight at this event.
Weight must be affixed to the kart, you can not add weight to the driver. All weight must be painted white and be secured with a double nut or a nut and cotter pin.
Divers weight is easy to use, can be drilled very easily, and is the standard in the racing community. When we did our Due diligence we found that little weight would need to be applied. We will evaluate this after the race and post our findings. You must be at weight to compete. If you need help with this requirement please reach out to me. I will post a picture of what we expect shortly

Any thought on places to stay?  Us "out of towners" would love a suggestion or two on where to stay Friday night.  Is camping an option?  Not planning that, just asking.

Here are a few options,
Near the (5 minutes) track you have the Famous Steve Alford INN - 765-593-1212, Rain Tree Inn - 765-521-0100 and the Garden Inn - 765-529-0345
About 20 minutes from track back in Greenfield Indiana you have a lot of choices, there is a Comfort INN - 317-467-9999, Quality Inn - 317-462-7112, Holiday Inn - 317-318-9859, Country Inn - 317467-0999 and many more national type hotels. As this is a fairly large event rooms may be hard to find at this late date. Shop around and ask for the NCMP rate.

There will be RV camping and some have pitched tents in the past. The flip side is they usually lock the gates at night, so if your need to go somewhere go early so your not locked out.

Hope this helped!

Reminder,
Your kart must conform to the rules and regulations of the series. You must have a front bumper, rear bumper, front drivers panel, seat must be mounted above the frame rails, chain guards just to name a few.
Please do not show up to tech missing any of these important parts, we will not allow you to compete.

Driving
Keep in mind that your driver will be reviewed at these races, we will be using both the rolled-pointed black flag and the dreaded back flag. While we encourage spirited racing we will not allow dangerous or foolish driving. Do so and be prepared to pay the price.

Just a few days away from round two of the EK Series and the Indiana State Finals race.
When you arrive at NCMP this weekend, please park in the grass on the right after you pass the club house on the left. Park as far east as you can near the rental track. After you are parked please gather your team and walk to the club house. Once inside you must get your pit passes from the staff at NCMP. There will usually be a line at the counter. Please get in that line and be ready to sign.
Once you have your pit passes then get unloaded and proceed to tech at the scale house. It will be the two story building to the north of all the Gas Powered Competition karts.

If you have questions please stop by the TOP KART transporter for find the TOP KART PRO-MASTER parked near the track.

Remember to bring weight, we are using the 400lbs total weight for this event.

Ran several tracks this afternoon. I like the smaller technical track the best, but we have options. Lots of fun for sure.
